Johan Holmgren was the main applicant for a grant which was awarded 1 million SEK from the Hildur and Sven Wingquist Foundation for Forest Science Research to be carried out in 2015. The project will aim to develop new systems for future forestry techniques and demonstrate how forest parameter estimations from airborne sensors can be complemented by information from mobile sensor systems for the collection of forest data. The test area will be in Remningstorp, in southern Sweden.
