Trip to Sigtuna

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a pleasant weekend and in this article I will show you another place which is worth visiting.

On Friday, I went to Sigtuna which is Sweden´s first town and was founded in the 10th century. Luckily, it is very easy to get there. From Stockholm you can take commuter train to Märsta and then change to bus which takes you directly to Sigtuna busstation, within approximately 18 minutes. In total, it is about one hour outside of Stockholm. Sigtuna is a small, cute and historical city which is suitable for pedestrians as you can easily walk and admire at the same time. I really enjoyed  observing those cute wooden buildings which are everywhere. The main street there is Stora Gatan where you can find shops, cafes, city hall, museum and tourist information.

I did not make any specific plans of places which I wanted to visit, rather I was just randomly strolling though the city. Within two hours, I would say that I visited everything, so you can see that it is suitable as a shorter trip. However, in warmer months I would sit by the Lake Mälaren and spend more time there as it was really calm and peaceful there.

Have a nice day,

Denisa
