I have to admit that my boyfriend and I aren’t the outdoorsy type, but we do enjoy a change of pace once in a while, so this year, for my birthday, we decided that we wanted to do something outside Uppsala, and after some deliberation, the winner was Kungsträdgården in Stockholm.
Kungsträdgården is one of the most popular parks in Stockholm and the perfect place for some pre-Christmas winter fun! It has a small Christmas market where you can buy all sorts of Christmas-themed food and trinkets, and a beautiful outdoors ice rink.
The ice rink is right in the middle of the park, and is decorated with Christmas lights, giving it a winter wonderland vibe. The rink offers skates for rental, and a small area where you can buy hot beverages and get warm and cozy in front of a fire –which is very much needed after spending so much time in the cold!
If you are in Sweden during winter time, and want to enjoy the Christmas spirit outdoors, this is a great option!
