Fika adventures comeback: Storken

Hej allihopa!

Lately I haven’t been able to blog much about fika places in Uppsala, but now I come back with a new café called Storken, conveniently located at the center of downtown Uppsala, at Stora Torget.

If I could describe Storken with a single word it would be “cozy.” Its interior is full of old, wine-colored sofas and chairs that lends the café a very distinct vintage charm. The atmosphere of the place calls you to spend an evening there sipping some coffee while reading your favorite book. The view to the square is also really nice, especially when it’s snowing!

Another thing that I love about this place is its high capacity. Unlike other cafés, where you need to be really lucky to get a decent seat, in Storken you don’t have to worry about this most of the time. But beware weekends during lunch hours because then the place gets completely packed!

Inside Storken

Although not the best coffee in town, it still offers a decent variety of hot brews and a wide selection of pastries and cookies to satisfy that sweet-tooth. And if you are more interested in having something more savory, they also serve soups and sandwiches — including several vegan and gluten free options. Definitely worth a visit!9

My personal favorite is their hot-chocolate with grädde!

I hope you liked this post and don’t forget to leave a comment. Have a good day!
